Radiant Dark design exhibition

The owners of MADE (store owners and industrial designers) approached me to help with branding and designing a show which would showcase modern emerging Canadian design. The show was a great success, despite the devastating fire which destroyed several historic buildings just a few doors away from the venue. A memorable night for many reasons.

Christine Cushing*s packaging

On her TV show, Canadian chef Christine Cushing gives her recipes (aka "culinary secrets") away all the time, so it was natural for us to let the sharing of these recipes play a central role in the re-branding of her gourmet tomato sauces. It was immediately clear that the time and care put into creating these sauces in small batches (by hand in Canada, using the finest and purest ingredients) had to be at the forefront. The main challenge was ensuring that the sauces conveyed a sense of culinary refinement and expertise, while still being approachable and friendly (just like Christine herself).

Jenny Bird identity

Jenny Bird is a Toronto luxury handbag designer, who launched her inaugural collection this summer (2008). Before doing so, she was in need of an identity and through a referral came to me. This project features some letterpressed cards as well as a silkscreened dustbag featuring the custom logotype and typography I designed for her.
