People often find it hard to get use to the pen tool in illustrator. Remember these there things and you will be rollin' in no time.

1- Click and drag to make a point into a bezier curve
2 - (While mouse button is still depressed) Press and hold the OPTION key on mac or the ALT on windows to split the bezier curve.
3 - (While mouse button is still depressed) Press and hold down space bar to move the point
