Producing mockups for Website Designs can often be a time consuming
process. My weapon of choice for producing mockups is Adobe
illustrator, rather than Adobe Photoshop.
Taking the
techniques of Grid Design and better use of Typography from the print
world, I created a grid system for a 974px wide page that is divided
into 12 columns and rows using the
Rule of Thirds (
Golden Ratio).
This Adobe Illustrator template Includes a 16px baseline grid.
Additionally, you can change the baseline grid to 4px to gain more
leading options.
The template was posted to The Grid System and also my own website
http://www.hanabi.co.uk
If
you have any suggestions for further grid templates using Adobe
Illustrator, please let me know. I am in the process of designing a 16
column grid.
