My photography is more than just my work and my passion. It’s a living, breathing and evolving diary of my life. It’s about the places I’ve been, the people I’ve met and the things I’ve seen.

Through my photography I try to capture the essence and purity of life. Those little moments that remind us all to live, love, laugh, smile, cry, dream, persevere and overcome.

The moments where we stop thinking and start feeling. Those are the moments that reconnect us to ourselves, to each other and to the world.

Sophia grew up in the inner city streets of New York, where she witnessed the difficulties of urban culture. Through her upbringing she developed an appreciation for things considered to be “outside her reach”. As a photographer she tries to capture the essence and purity of life. Her motto is

“Beauty and Meaning are everywhere, if you’re just willing to look”.

After graduating with a bachelors degree in Graphic Arts, Sophia moved on to work in magazine publishing. She worked very closely with artists of all kinds and dappled in photo retouching. After 5 years in publishing she found herself wanting to be on the other side of the camera and decided to focus on Photography.

Sophia now lives in Paris, France where she enjoys capturing the finely balanced modern metropolitan and old world charm of the city. Read Less
