In-short: The haunted and haunting photographs of Sigal Ben David are far more than portraits of absence: they explore the role of objects – of the physical world – in constructing and deconstructing the narratives around which we organize our lives. Ben David’s rigorously composed images speak of the beauty of randomness and abandonment, and of the orders we create that often serve to forge even greater disorders.
