Ben-David refers to her works as landscapes - though the word is released from its traditional signification. Rather, landscape is here extended to mean the totality of ways in which we arrange both the natural and artificial aspects of our habitations.

Her skillfully composed photographs investigate an aesthetic of randomness and abandonment, interrogating the would-be reassuring orders we create that can often serve to forge comparably greater disorders. By utilizing found objects and random spaces, Ben-David displays our curatorial instinct to preserve, categorize and revalorize.  She explores the ambiguity inherent in things often perceived as trivial and concrete.

Born in Israel in 1973, Ben-David is a graduate in Photography from the Camera Obscura School of Art, in Tel-Aviv.  She pursued further study in Digital Media at the Kibbutzim College of Education, Technology and the Arts, Tel Aviv.  She has exhibited widely in Israel, including at The Architect's House Gallery (Tel-Aviv), The Artness Gallery (En Shemer), The French Cultural Center (Nazheret), The Open Museum of Photography (Tel Ahi) and The Ha’chalalit Gallery (Tel-Aviv).  She has also participated in major group shows in Tokyo, Kiev and elsewhere.
