Sheara Abrahams - Costume Designer
I am a costume designer who works in film, television and theatre. My projects vary widely and nothing is too big a challenge. From peers and peeresses at Queen Victoria’s coronation, to early 19th century washerwomen on Hampstead Heath, to cockneys doing the Lambeth Walk, I am excited by the opportunity to research and bring a whole different world to life.

I studied History of Art and Italian at the University of Bristol, Fashion Design at the Istituto di Moda Burgo in Milan and then trained at RADA, specialising in costume. I have been fortunate to have assisted many award-winning designers such as Sandy Powell (The Young Victoria), Alexandra Byrne (Elizabeth - The Golden Age), Jenny Beavan (Sherlock Holmes) and Janet Patterson (Jane Campion’s Bright Star) and designed for stages like the London Palladium and the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.

Recent film projects have included: The Nanny State, directed by Arthur Landon, starring Bel Powley and Alfie Field; HOOD, directed by Tarquin Glass and starring Harry Sergeant; David Rose, directed by Shelagh Macleod and starring Sophie Ward, Tallulah Evans, Jolyon Coy, Caroline Langrishe and Simon Shepherd; The Trigger starring Ralph Brown; Idle Hands featuring Timothy West and Harry Hadden-Paton; The Wonderful World of Death starring Noel Fielding from the Mighty Boosh; The Crossing, starring Steven Waddington and Eva Birthistle; Positive Feedback starring Juliet Oldfield and Harry Sergeant.
Eyebrow Productions
With my theatre company, Eyebrow Productions, we have established a reputation for creating full-scale, West End musicals in just 48 hours to raise money for various charities. With casts of around 125 and budgets of next to nothing, these “Showtime Challenges” showcase my resourcefulness and practical nature. So far, we have raised around £80,000 for various charities and have produced shows such as The Boy Friend at Her Majesty's Theatre and Crazy For You and Me And My Girl at The London Palladium.

I am also an artistic director of WriteTime, Eyebrow’s recently launched new writing programme. We hold a regular evening of short plays and live music called WriteBites and have produced plays at venues including RADA, the BAC, Latitude, and Theatre503. Script submissions from budding playwrights are always welcome.
