I make it with a little air of Halloween or Day of the death, Dia de muertos is the name of this special day. When I have one idea, I want the illustration to be almost the same, so I draw different sketches on smooth paper; which is my favorite for this kind of work. I start carefully drawing with a pencil until I am happy with what I see. Then I define the drawing with fine lines of ink (my pencil is a Finepoint System .2, very very fine) and I erase the pencil to leave a clean and nicer surface. I next scan the drawing to my mac and finally I color it digitally using Photoshop and this tablet or my Wacom tablet with a digital pen that is connected to the computer for more control.
