Work Statement
I love attention to detail, finding the meaning in the mundane, and the beauty of raw vulgarity. I think it is often the grotesque and uncomfortable that makes us truly human beings - imperfect. I don’t know if I really believe that photography is what it used to be, but I do know that there are still a few of us out there trying to preserve the naked moments of real life and create our own worlds for those who might be curious enough to look. Creating images gives an incredible amount of power over the viewer’s perception, which is perhaps why photography should be left only to those who really have something to say. There is an old proverb in the Torah that says: God gave Man a certain number of words for a lifetime, and once he has spoken them all he dies.
