I never chose to be a designer, design chose me. When I was 15, I thought I had received a vocation to attend the Catholic Seminary. During that period, I did a lot of soul searching, asking myself a lot of whys and hows. After conferencing with Father Don and my family, it became clear to me that I was not meant to be a priest. What also became clear is my recognition of my ability to communicate and influence others, my strong will to help others and serve a greater purpose in the world, and my passion for expressing myself creatively. It took a while for me accept the fact that I wasn't going to bring about change and serve others through the priesthood, or (following in my father's footsteps) in the officer ranks of the Army... but through the power of my own creativity.
