I am a photographer specializing in editorial assignments and fine art projects. Specialties include location portraiture, landscape photography, travel, lifestyle and food/cooking.

I'm based in Charlestown, Rhode Island which is near Watch Hill, Block Island, Narragansett, New London and Providence. I do travel for assignments to Boston and New York as well.

I'm interested in telling stories about people. I'm always looking for the thing that connects us in a portrait. I'm in love with humanity with all it's flaws and stumbling grace.
As a general rule, I try to make a portrait of the person, not the position they hold in the world. That makes for a better picture.

Platinum printing is a process using a mixture of platinum and palladium salts to make a black and white print. It is a hand made process requiring attention to detail and special equipment.
Platinum prints are sought after by collectors and galleries and museums for their beautiful tones, stability, and detailed rendering of information in a photographic negative.

I have been practicing this process for over twelve years. I teach it in private tutorials, as well as in the full time program at The New England School Of Photography (www.nesop.com)

I have been commissioned by fine art photographers to create platinum prints of their images in limited edition portfolios.

My landscape images printed in platinum have been exhibited internationally and won awards right here in the U.S. of A.
