Creativity: With a strong vein of creativity I love designing and making imaginative models/environments from a freestyle (out of my head) methodology, but also the ability to follow blue prints and reference images quickly & efficiently, working meticulously resulting in a high calibre, professional finished product. I listen to Jean Michel Jarre, Mike Oldfield and classical music for creative inspiration.

Modelling: For me modelling flows like water. I am proficient at both polygon and hard edged (Sub-D) modelling involving intelligent and minimum edge loop placing. Creation of complex and intricate meshes but also the manufacture of low poly props and environments. Moreover, I have recently learned organic modelling and the pipeline behind it (normal,vector,displacement map extraction & retopology).

UVW Unwrapping: The ability to unwrap simple and complex models with predictable results allowing for easier texturing and full utilization of texture/UV space.

Texturing: making high quality texture maps from UV templates and then packing them efficiently to utilize UV space. I can also paint and amend textures from a standpoint of adding additional environmental details (i.e. dirt & rust). Furthermore, the ability to make bump, specular, displacement and normal maps.

Compositing: I have a good understanding of Abode After Effects (i.e., colour correction, camera tracking, animation and general effects knowledge). In addition, I have sound knowledge of adding various passes to composite on top of the main animation/still frame (i.e., ambient occlusion).

Lighting: Solid lighting principles pertaining to lighting and shadow types and configuration of lighting set-ups (i.e. three point lighting etc.) but also the ability to make the scene standout in relation to colour/tone and therefore mood.

Tutorials: Making tutorials and quick tip videos to help users understand the software and the ways it can be used to create techniques associated with model building. Read Less
