Tire & Auto Branding

My logo was recently used for the awning on the client's new building. I wanted to avoid using an actual tire for the graphic, so used a tread pattern instead.

Building Illustration

I wanted to create an illustration of the building which was somewhat painterly and had a bit of a rough look. The finished image was created in Illustrator from a few sketches on paper.

Cowboy

I wanted to make this character look pretty gaunt by using a lot of straight lines and sharp angles. I also wanted to accentuate his shoulders and forearms while keeping his upper arms pretty narrow.

This was the first painting I did in this style, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. He looks mischievous.

Bulldance

I was going for a really elastic look here, and wanted to represent the range of movement for the bull as if it were a static object. I also wanted the bull to seem pretty spry while still giving him some bulk.

I like the trail of drool whipping around his face.
