Paul Franks is the principal architect and founder of Paul Franks Architecture in Bellevue, Washington since 1986. Originally located in Portland, Oregon, Paul relocated to Bellevue, Washington in 1993.
Paul is a graduate of Washington State University at Pullman, Washington and earned a Bachelor of Architecture cum laude in 1978. This was just the beginning of a life-long pursuit to master the art of architecture and the built environment. Paul grew up around his family’s construction business in Southern California, pounding nails and cutting boards that provided an appreciation for the complexity of business and a love for constructing buildings. Paul gained much valuable and unique experience as an intern architect in the Portland, Oregon office of Martin / Soderstrom / Matteson Architects and at several other architectural firms.
Paul earned his first architect’s license in the State of Oregon in 1981 followed by California, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Arizona. He also holds a National Council of Architectural Registration Board Certificate.
Over the thirty-two years of architectural practice, Paul has developed a broad range of architectural, business and development skills and knowledge. The majority of his architectural work has been for private developers on multi-family housing, senior and assisted living facilities, retail and shopping center development. He has also partnered with developers as an owner of multi-family housing. Paul Franks Architecture is a small firm that strives to provide excellent and unexpected service.
