"Barack Obama will be the 44th President of the United States" said the CNN reporter. Within days the election announcement, my family had reserved a chartered bus to Washington D.C. Although we never actually saw Obama in D.C., the spirit in the air was unmistakable. Joy, love, kindness....change. At the time of his inaugural speech, my family and I were watching from a television in the House of Representatives. While it seems a bit funny to me that we traveled four hours just to watch Obama on TV, sometimes the journey is more important than the destination.
