Worldflag System

WORLDFLAG SYSTEM

Due to an agency internal project we had about two weeks time to work on a topic we choose. My suggested topic was to rethink and redesign the flags of the world.

I created a general system based on a color grid and the geo coordinates of the different countries. Additional Information about the population and the gross national product is attached to each flag to help to differentiate.

Stadtistik - City Statistics

„Stadtistik“ is a diploma thesis that deals with miscellaneous statistics, produced by the ten largest German cities in various areas of urban life. For each of the ten cities a newspaper with nine statistical categories is available.

The intention of this work is to enable an objective comparison, without trying to evaluate. Deliberately no subjective opinion is given, so the viewer is able to evaluate and characterize the cities by himself.

The graphic shown on the front page is additional printed on translucent paper. By changing the front page between the different issues a quick comparison between the different cities is provided.

Save as / Google

Google is the world’s leading search engine and by
now even the most valuable and most popular brand
of the world. The measures of the Google universe and
how it will develop is mostly unknown. The simpli-

fied graphic maps I created shall describe how Google
works, develop and which information about us is
collected. Also a visionary look into the future, based
on already known facts and tendencies, is dared. My
intention is to enlighten and sensitize internet users to
take better care of their privacy.

Front of the map - the infographic points out how the
growing number of Google services completed the user
profile. At the end the company knows almost every
detail of their user’s life.

Back of the map - on the one hand the infographic
shows the market penetration of Google and their
competitor and on the other hand the graphic explains
the functionality of search engines and how powerful
they are by their information monopoly.

WVV Timetable

For several years the transport services of Würzburg
has used the same old-fashioned and confusing time
tables and information. Due to that I made it my task
to remould these plans. In the composition of the time
tables I developed a new system based on an analogue
clock instead of the usual tabular presentation.
