I could not decide if I preferred graphic or web design more than the other, so I chose to do both. My last name is a lucky coincidence. For the sake of titles, you could say I am a front-end web developer who just so happens to be a graphic designer.
I was self-taught for almost 5 years before I received formal training in the form of an apprenticeship with a leading web development firm in Boston, thoughtbot. It was there that I learned about Sass (goodbye regular CSS!), the importance of iteration, top-level design thinking, and so on.
