Although I acquired a PhD (Wimbledon College of Art// University of Surrey-UK) on the application of pop culture aesthetics in video portraiture and for a period of time I did mostly video work I consider myself a painter. Painting and drawing were the disciplines I initially studied and still fascinate me. Recently I act as a curator too, trying to organize now and then themed exhibitions that inspire my imagination.
My themes evolve from socially instigated circumstances, mainly parties and informal gatherings. Humouring the feel-good indulgence of pop culture I create a bright -coloured world punctuated by emotional charges. My work reflects a universe of optimistic uncertainty where each instant makes space for a repositioning of known relations in search of a customised meaning. Read Less
