× . Poetry is the one place I am never afraid to be free & unequivocally true to myself. As I’m a mere vessel for my thoughts, a pencil, pen, or keyboard -- are the instruments of my deliberations. It began as a way to voice my teenage anxieties, & developed into a compulsion. I am ever growing as a poet, intending to collectively compile my works & publish them in personally illustrated novellas, as a means to broaden my audience & share my experiences & passions with more of the world. I don’t typically over-edit my work, though I’ve discovered I’ve begun to put a considerable amount of thought into what I’d like to convey in the final creation of each piece; I deeply believe in keeping my initial emotions down forever, not only as a way to record my growth, but to display the true meaning of my heart & soul as I wrote the idioms.
× . Creative writing is less of a passion & more of a highly stimulating challenge. It was all set in motion when I developed an ambition to call to mind other individuals, in the way that I was inspired when I first picked up a novella back in Grade 3. I write for myself primarily, but over time I’ve learned to share with others. My skill & interest has evolved beyond personal writing & into public speaking, running online art communities, etc. The art of the written word is a wonderful medium to be demanding of, & a great release of human energy & emotion. I’m very adaptable when it comes to the genre, style, & content of my work, always prepared to try my hand at something new & face new challenges within this medium. I aspire to be a teacher of this field in the near future.

× . When words are inadequate, I seek out the liberation of capturing a vision. Immersing myself into the photographic world has provided many opportunities for me to capture a moment in more than just my memory. I depict my immediate attitudes & passions through the models I shoot; express my emotions & thoughts through the scenes that I imprison. I have an obsession with drastic contrasts & simplicity. The visually enhanced world of photography has provided me with the perfect playground. I’ve worked with many models ranging from amateur to professional, & have a part-time business around my growing interest in this field. I would describe myself as an artistic / conceptual / journalistic street photographer.
× . Drawn in & addicted to basking in the limelight & the art of acting, modeling has become a still & ultimate combination. Mirrors are an enemy, challenger, & quite representative of my relationship with the optical eye of a lens. I love having a good model to photograph, but also immensely enjoy the opportunity to be a willing model in return. I am in a fresh element when facing a photographer, allowed to step in & out of both worlds, teetering on that creative edge.

× . My shower head has been my microphone since before I can remember, but I climbed out of the hot box & opened my lungs to the world, embarking on a journey balanced by volume & silence. My voice fills many rooms on many occasions, it isn’t uncommon to find me breaking into song -- in public or in private. When I hear music, I strive to feel it right to my soul, & I chance that the emotions are conveyed once I lose myself to the music. My musical tastes range from every possible facet & genre you can describe.
× . I’ve too often been found in the middle of a scandal, brawl, technological war of words, or upon a stage filling the shoes of a character for the public to enjoy. Menacingly misunderstood too often, I learned to embrace my moodiness, my shallow, sometimes deep insanity, & the false conceptions that others have of me, turning it all into effective role playing. My struggles only helped to make me a better actress. My involvement in this genre of performance art is a piece of my past for now, but my many center stage moments continue to inspire me.
× . Art in general (for me) is an adventure lacking responsibility & providing limitless amounts of open doors to inspiration & imagination. I try to exercise my right to become avidly involved in all walks of art & art mediums. I have a never ending desire to become further involved in all forms of art. Some of my other developing talents & various interests, most of which I incorporate or plan to incorporate into my priority fields of art are listed below.
• EDUCATION | 2 years choir, 1 year music, 5 years drama, 4 months vocal training
• PERFORMANCES | 6 official concerts [50-600+ people], LRHS idol [2nd place], main role is 2 full scale plays, 15+ small plays, improv / street / karaoke
• OTHER | ‘08-‘09 lead vocalist & band manager of L.I.T.S
• FURTHER INTERESTS | editing, critiquing, publishing & journalism / drawing, sketching & acrylic painting / crafts & scrapbooking / make-up, fashion & hair styling
