As Chief Meteorologist I am responsible for the weather department, department staff and the performance of the department for the station. I also meet with great enthusiasm the challenges of being considered the station scientist. As station scientist I am often the go to person for many scientific ideas including those not weather related. I am skilled with computer animation and am one of the first in the country to include personally designed 3D graphical models in forecasts to improve the understanding and entertainment value of the weather segments I presented. Working in television has helped me to expand my public service and mentoring goals. I have initiated and produced award winning public service efforts which have included mentoring “at risk youth” and creating enthusiasm and excitement for math and science with kids. I strive to be a very effective user of social media platforms both personally and certainly professionally. Read Less
