Illegal Art, started in the summer of 2001, is a collaborative of artists whose goal is to create interactive public art to inspire self-reflection, thought and human connection. Each piece is then presented or distributed in a method in which participation is simple and encouraged. But our main goal is to have fun in an open and creative forum that includes the people and the world in which with live.

Illegal Art has exhibited in Milan, London, Barcelona, San Francisco and New York. We have collaborated with CREATIVETIME, Deitch Projects and Colectivo De La Calle in Barcelona. We have also presented our work at the annual conference of the National Coalition for Dialogue and Deliberation in San Francisco and the College Arts Association national conference. IA have been featured artists at Visual Dialogues, A Ford Foundation sponsored exhibition at Clark University, in Worcester, Massachusetts, and we have been asked to speak and present our work at numerous college campuses throughout the United States.

Ripple Project: WAR is a social-anthropological media network created to engage and connect the world to the genuine experiences of individuals, families and communities living in the aftermath of war. Founded on the art of storytelling, the Ripple Project: WAR’s innovative and comprehensive model builds content, meaning and value into a multi-channel library of image, voice and word by fostering symbiotic relationships between individual story tellers, aftermath organizations, academic institutions, media and entertainment leaders and the general public to create actionable opportunities and interpersonal knowledge and support for those who have lived beyond the headlines.

Ripple Project: WAR is currently in development. Please contact me if you are interested in contributing time, expertise or content to this venture. Read Less
