Hi Sarah, I tried to explain some of the influences behind Whales an Wasp the other day and the person looked at me with an odd expression on there face ;) Here it goes, it was influenced by the 4th of July, world super powers China and USA, global warming and a song called Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival that I couldn’t get out of my head. I’m not sure if this helps anyone though :) but thank you for asking.
