Bio
Megumi Watanabe (渡辺恵美, 1975-) was raised in a small town in Shizuoka prefecture, Japan. She began showing her creative talent at an early age, and decided to join the art club at her junior high, where she won a poster design contest, and had her painting exhibited in a local museum.

In 1993, after graduating from high school, Megumi moved to New York, briefly attended a collage in Bellevue, WA, and in 1999 she graduated from Fashion Institute of Technology with an Associate Degree majoring in Advertising Design.

Struggling to find a first job, Megumi built her portfolio designing CD /cassette /Record covers, Logos, Brochures, Business Cards and Flyers for friends. In 2001, she was hired as a Graphic Designer at a streetwear brand Triple 5 Soul, and started her 7-year-long career as an Apparel Graphic Designer in fashion industry designing T-shirts, Patterns /Textiles, Trims, Packaging, and Skateboards. Her experience, expertise, keen sense of color, and design style has earned her numerous projects with many clients including special projects such as TRASHED for Fashionpeace, A Novel Art Project for Dazed & Confused, Skatedeck Art Show at Avenue A Sushi.

Megumi's work show influences by various periods of art history of different cultures and nature, with her signature delicate, organic lines.
