I am a maker: an illustrator, a painter, a builder and a craftsperson. I believe in all things tactile and engaging. I will use my hands until they are nothing but dust.
My work is underpinned by a love for line and the endless ways in which it can be manipulated. Accordingly, I want people to love my work as much as I love making it. I create much of my work by hand; I immerse myself into the process. Each piece leaves ink stains on my fingers and my apartment walls. There is an amazing bond between my work and myself, and I hope to incite that creativity and excitement in others.
Because I have training in both Fine Art and Graphic Design, I understand the principles of depth and process, but also those of function and marketability. My work can exist simultaneously in both worlds; the same design could be viewed on a gallery wall or on printed materials, paper, invitations or linens. I am a book-binder and avid paper maker. As such, I adore paper not only as a surface, but also as stand-alone art. Read Less
