My name is Melinda Isaacs, and I’m a 20-year-old Fine Arts student from Hamilton, Ohio, USA. I’m currently attending the University of Cincinnati to obtain my degree in the fine arts.
I know that most artists state that they’ve been drawing since they could hold a pencil, and while that may be true for me as well, I didn’t really begin this amazing journey until I was 11-years-old. I was born in Ohio, USA in 1992 to two wonderful, amazing, and supportive parents, and grew up on watching 80′s movies, 90′s cartoons, and Disney. Upon graduating from high school with honors in 2010, I began to study Communications Design: Web Design at the University of Cincinnati: Blue Ash College for a year, until I found that I no longer wanted to work the rest of my life as a web designer.
After a little soul-searching, I switched majors and will now be working towards my Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts at UC: Main. I work with both traditional and digital media, though I really don’t have a preference because they’re both highly enjoyable to me. And though I’m no longer working towards a degree in web design, I still find it to be a lot of fun to design web sites; in fact, I’m working as a freelance web designer for indie bands in my area! My main aspirations at this point is to improve in my processes and in my art…I’m constantly sketching, working on studies, and painting small things to improve.
I’m definitely going to share my art as much as I possibly can, wherever I can, because it truly is my life. Read Less
