Canadian-born photographer Luke Copping graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2003. Now living in the border city of Buffalo, New York, he has since worked as a graphic designer and sign-maker as well, skills that help to further develop his photographic roots.
With a talent for lighting and a love of underground culture, Luke's images cover a wide breadth of style and subject matter, and often make use of outside inspirations to develop a story and evoke emotion in his subjects and viewers. The use of manmade landscapes, structures, and modern ruins has become a signature element of his portraiture work, in which the aesthetic qualities of the subject and the environment naturally blend together. His work in fashion and beauty represents a balance between high-end couture and his own underground influences
With a constantly evolving body of work and a roster of clients that range from the corporate to the counter-culture, Luke is able to create engaging and resonant images for his audience.
