i can't legitimately claim non-bias... but there is NO form, no words, nothing that can reach masses without being biased in one particular form or another. I felt like the NUMBERLESS, as an over arching theme was relatively neutral, but requiring people to use LESS in their word, I admit wasn't. Even if the individual created the word with the intent, when people read it, it's initally percieved as negative.

thanks for your comment! i always appreciate feedback. my INITIAL intent was to give the soldier's a forum to express themselves, given the harsh media coverage, and the lack of freedom they have to speak on the subject. But I wanted to include everyone. Most of the people I surveyed knew me, and knew my father is a Brig. General, they knew I was in ROTC while going to Art school... I don't ever agree with war, but I hate to see America as a whole, largely ignoring the sacrifices overseas. The intent of the piece was to make people think... the challenge was to find a way to have the piece unified. I think it's naive to think people are going to whimsically sacrifice their personal opinions/ experiences because of the form I constructed for them to participate in. Words like, lessfighting, lessselfishness, lesstotalitarian, limitless, etc. Also, It's hard to really take meaning from the words as you see them, without reading the individuals explanations... some scathe only the media, some are talking about deficit issues.
