Shout Out!
My name is Leith O'Malley and I'm an exhibiting visual artist from South Australia. I welcome feedback or interest from creative people, artists and art enthusiasts.. and hope you enjoy some of my work here. I really admire originality and honesty in art and hope you can find this in my own works both here and on my website at www.leithomalley.com which features a large variety of works in various mediums.

One thing.. although I love creating art which explores themes of melancholia or sadness, I'm actually the opposite in person.. well, the majority of the time.. so don't make the mistake of thinking I'm some stereotypical melodramatic, woe is me artist.

The Blog links on the top of this page will also give you some idea of my approach to creating my work and some of the weird, wonderful and crazy things that go through my head whilst enjoying this self indulgence.
Playing in the studio..
Music plays such a big part in not only my creative process but my whole life. At the moment it's the new Rufus Wainwright, Tom Waits, Holden (France), Joan the Police Woman, Bent, Zero 7, The Go Betweens, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Bombay Dub Orchestra, Dog Trumpet, Lucinda Williams, Morrisey, Cat Power, Lambchop, Clap Your Hands and say Yeah, The Decemberists, Lemon Jelly, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Sufjen Stevens, Dave Graney and the Coral Snakes, Damnwells, Telepopmuzic, The Weepies, Be Good Tanyas, Camera Obscura, St Germain and Velvet Underground.. and pretty much everything Laura Veirs......but it goes on... and on..
