Hello, my name is Laura De Fazio. My name is probably the one thing that my ego will over explode because I love it when people shout out “DeFazioooo,” when I walk by. I will graduate this year on May 11, 2013, which I’m still feeling both extremely ready and not at the same time, but I am glad that I’m not the only one that feels this way.
The good thing is that I find joy in the smallest of things like turtles crossing from point A to point B. A strange example; I know but I appreciate these accomplishments non the less. This unique thought process of mine inspires my work. I love to illustrate my thoughts because they have something to say and lets face the facts. The world can handle a few more ideas. The ideas that interest me are thoughts about nature, observation, and humor making my work seem cartoony or realistic with a twist of stylization.
Cartoon shows and movies have been my inspiration. Anything with a good plot to make a person think. A good story is what I like to see, but it does go beyond that. My world that I live in. Art related it would have to expressive line work, the unseal, captivating eye emotion, dramatic body positioning or glossy oil painting. Read Less
