Janina Kiok
Graphic Designer
Minneapolis, MN, USAI am a Do-It-Yourselfer, so I like to take initiative and implement creative ways to get the job done at home and in my work. I initially went to college following the pre-veterinary track before switching to design, and I believe my background has shaped the way I approach my work. It has proven to be a great asset by allowing me think analytically to find a creative solution that results from thinking “around” a challenge. These solutions tend to take into account fabrication, finishing, logistics, and user interaction instead of only designing what the final product will look like. The final design is only as good as it’s feasibility and the way it affects those around it.

I established and maintained vendor relations and served as account manager for all projects.

Education
Boston University
Bachelor of Fine Arts — Graphic Design
Began with a core of fine art classes. These included painting, drawing/drafting and sculpture; and were used as a foundation to build upon my art education. I believe that these core classes have made me more rounded fundamentally, and have given me the added skill of craftsmanship and illustration.
