I have had a interest in photography since I was about 8 years old. My parents had gotten me a 110 film pink camera and we went on vacation to Colorado and I took some of the greatest landscapes, candid, and portrait shot. I didn't get a real SLR camera til I was in High School and I wasn't able to take any formal classes til I was in college. In collage I found my true passion for journalism photography. I loved to get candids of people and then when I started following one person and getting there story to tell it sparked a fire in me. After my father was diagnosed with cancer for the third time the only way I could deal with the stress and sadness was to take my camera and tell everyone the story. Proceeding my fathers recovery from his cancer I decided to find a school that can help me hon in on the journalism aspect of photography, Brooks Institute of Photography. Read Less
