Originally trained in the recording arts, Kevin spent several years recording, designing, preforming, and touring the west coast with the band The Titans of Industry. In the early part of 2007, and after much consideration, he resigned from the group to pursue his newly developed love of the graphic arts... But first he would need a day job.
In September of 2007, he began working at Prep Sportswear Inc. The job wasn’t very exciting or anything but humble beginnings always seem to inspire greatness. In September of 2011, after several years of self study and hard work, he was given the opportunity to work for the 5th Avenue Theatre as a graphic designer. The work was exhilarating! It felt good to be responsible for so many different projects and it truly tampered Kevin’s design sensibility and helped him understand what it means to work in the design industry... Everything else just fell into place
Kevin’s collaborative, easy-going, and thoughtful approach to design are just a few of the excellent qualities that characterize his work. His past experiences with recording and photography have taught him the importance of cultivating generalized skills and the value of being D.I.Y. where, if you don’t know something, learn it and do it anyway! Because of this, he has established a very hands-on and dedicated approach to design. Not only does he enjoy flushing out design work with pencil/pen/paint but he excels at digital mediums (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, After Effects) and finalizing his work with the use of computer and tablet. He also has experience working with vectors, watercolor, acrylic paint, and custom-made typography.
Whether it be in his personal work, his freelance contracts, or his day-to-day employment, Kevin aims to create beautiful, captivating, and applicable design. Read Less
