Designed and illustrated for three of Jane Austen's novels: Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion, and Emma, these book covers feature hand-lettered typography and hand-painted watercolor background artwork to capture the essence of the time period in which they were written. As the works were originally written by hand, and watercolor was a popular medium of the time, often used by Jane's sister Cassandra, the authoress herself would have been exposed to these mediums.
