I'm native from Nantes (France) and began calligraphy in 2001 by discovering contemporary arabic calligrapher.
Self-taught, I have been influenced by arabic calligraphy and graffiti in aim to devellop a latin alphabet, who allows me to create contemporary calligraphy inspired of West and middle-West philosophy.
I create each calligraphy with the desire to transcend the meaning of the sentence, to give off an energy, a singular aestheticism, a balanced and languorous form to differ from the traditional writing and the arbitrary letter’s order.
When I discovered «light-graff» process, I started to experiment a new way of creation.
I discovered a new expression form who is marked of body language, Calligraphy, choregraphy, and exchange with the photographer.
The possibility to «write in space», to work a calligraphy according to the background perspective, colours and history give me the will to explore this new pictural expression form.
Ink become light, paper become photography. All landscape or architectur is a pretext to be marked of them, to play with them, to calligraphy them and immortalize this meeting between writing and photography.
After to have organize different exhibitions, I take part in publication of different book and develloped light graff public performance since 2007. I'm working actually with the digital slaves around a real time videoprojection of virtual graffiti and calligraphy.
