My artwork has developed over 16 years. I have received a formal art education since age 8 focusing on fundamentals. Later in life I became deeply interested in painting as a concentration, experimenting with both acrylic and oil based paints in addition to oil bar, and watercolors. After developing painting fundamentals I began to experiment with the inclusion of airbrush and non-traditional techniques and materials. Through the development of my own modern style my work gained local recognition in Michigan during my early adulthood and has received multiple student and community awards.
In June 2011 graduated with a BA in Graphic Design from Otterbein University. Receiving multiple departmental awards for my concepts in package design and visual communications. My art degree included a year of fine art and fundamental courses, a year of art history, and 2 years of visual communications, package design, and webdesign curriculum. Since graduation my focus has been on corporate graphic design. I specialize in optimized custom HTML design and coding for email in addition to providing additional support to the creative team at Medidata Solutions for print and web-based projects.
My next challenge is to find time to rediscover art which I am passionate about creating as the graphic design work that I perform as part of my professional career has a limited ability to fulfill the sense of creativity and exploration that I desire. Read Less
