Harris Publications, one of the nation's largest special interest magazine publishers, is looking to hire a web designer to work on web sites for multiple magazines. Sites this may involve include XXL, King, Slam, Rides, 0-60 and Antenna. You must have versatile design skills to fit the aesthetic of each site.

Strong design skills AND front-end development is a must. Please do not apply if you are a designer only. You must be able to code your own designs and know CSS and HTML.

Responsibilities -
• Design and produce engaging websites that extend existing print brands and maximize ad revenue in conjunction with editorial initiatives and brand identities.
• Work with online ad sales team to create micro-sites, contests, and takeovers.
• Continually assess the needs of existing online properties to enhance user experience and build visitor loyalty.
• Front-end code designs created by other members of the design team

Requirements -
• Demonstration of a strong and sophisticated design style
• 2 years or more designing and producing websites
• expert knowledge of XHTML and CSS - can code table-less designs by hand
• no flash experience necessary
• Proficiency in PhotoShop and Illustrator

• WordPress Enthusiast is a huge plus
• Visionary for web publishing
• Self starter who can meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to design and code quickly, plus multi-task a must
