Freelance Web Developer

We are looking to develop a small, private website for an alumni organization.

We want to create a website for our members, employing “Web 2.0” technology to
act both as a social networking mechanism, as well as an information distribution platform. Currently, we have a basic html based website with limited database capabilities, as well as a draft website created by a previous web design company. The new website will be used as a tool to facilitate communication between members, and to foster greater collaboration within the group.

We have already made a list of requirements including:

  • Login and security
  • Homepage
  • A database including fields for information, picture, etc...
  • Ability to create/join sub-groups, each with its own forum and "blog"
  • Media sharing
  • Tiered user levels, all the way up to full administrator access
  • Ease of editing and maintenance
  • Search functionality
  • Ability to send group-wide emails.

We have a more detailed project outline to send along to qualified candidates. We are looking to complete this project within a 3 month time-frame, and we're open to using Drupal, PHP, or your prefered method for development.

Please contact us via the link below, and we will follow up with qualified candidates. This is a perfect project for a web designer/developer that wants to have a good side gig for the nigths/weekeds...
