For this music video I produced manga style 3D animation using the ink 'n paint material in 3DS Max to create a cel shader look that integrated with the hand-drawn cels and backgrounds of the rest of the video. My work involved the design of the mechanical and robotic elements and subsequent 3D production. This included surgical elements and robots, together with the lead characters cybernetic suit. I produced these realflow simulations and subsequent renders for a series of commercial promos aired on Virgin 1 for Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. The liquid metal effect is obviously a homage to the T-1000 in Terminator 2: Judgement day, but on a smaller scale. The liquid behaviour is not too dissimilar to mercury. These promos aired on Virgin 1 in the autumn and winter of 2008.
