Home Page themes for the ALOT world
My task was to update the look of home.alot.com in order to match the latest version of the Toolbar (Appbar), create interest-based/vertical-specific/seasonal themes, while keeping in mind the complexity/simplicity of the back-end execution. Thus, I came up with a solution which calls for a minimum of stylizing and maximum change. The widget containers are made to be semitransparent so they can easily inherit the background color. On themes except the basic default one, I transformed the logo to an opaque monotone so that it doesn't fight with the intense background images.
