CONQUER! 2005-2008

This series of drawing was done between 2004 - 2008. I ponders the excesses of technology. Has the acceleration of scientific and technological advancements fostered the belief that nature can be re-constructed to the point of expendability? Using the simplest of mediums, I created complex pen on paper drawings that ask the question of why humans push themselves to build things faster, stronger, bigger (or smaller), more efficiently, and more intricately? While the elaborateness of my drawings parallel this striving for excesses, for me, my striving is towards the outer reaches of my artistic abilities.
