Gavin Thomas is a New York City based freelance Photographer who is known best for his experimental and photojournalistic style. He has shot for a number of editorial assignments and magazine features including New York Magazine.com, Live Music Productions NYC, and Maxwell Records. His Published and Award Winning works include Blackbook Raw 50 for 2007, the 2007 UnScene NY Tour, the PDN student photo contest, PDN Olympus Visionage, 2006 PDN 30 Under 30, held at St. Bonaventure. Gavin has a dynamic sense of composition and a fresh HIP, urban style that is heavily influenced by his surroundings in NYC. Whether on the streets, on location or in the studio, his subjects appear comfortable and natural. Perfect for musicians looking for unique cd covers and tour posters as well as new magazines looking to standout. He shoots both film and digital as well as Polaroid. And is also a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology's intense photo school where he earned his BFA in Professional Photographic Illustration.
