Started working on this site a cpl of days ago after I got the brief. The company is a major one with production in countries throughout europe. Today their website is lacking "inspiration" and they felt like it needed a certain flavour that would appeal to the end customer and not only to the retailers already supplying their products today.
Our goal here was to bring the commercial world closer to the endcustomer by inducing a new level of environmental closeness that every suppliers site presently lacked.

::the work is still ongoing and wont be finished for another cpl of weeks so feel free to add you suggestions/likes/dislikes as you feel. Every comment is a welcomed one, I assure you::

the site will consist of flash, silverlight and standard elements. Viewed here is the home screen, designed to deliver relevant info without disturbing the view of the sites widescreen scenery.

a flashvideo plays through a scenery of a suburban setting upon arriving at the site. When it stops the visitor is left with the choice of travelling through the site in several different ways (by standard menu, by interacting with the flashvideo or by extending the more technical/detailed content hidden on the right hand side of the screen.

alot of work went into getting the right "feel" in all the images. We need to somehow also convey the feel of the visitor actually beeing "on location". To accomplish this we added a very dark tint, desaturated all the images and also in the end we added a very dark vignette to make it look more like as if you're the one standing there holding the camera
or maybe your'e sitting in a car driving by the house..

a short info about the scenery that's currently beeing displayed is always present at the bottom left hand side of the screen.

at any time the visitor has the ability to extend the information the site provides by simply expanding the infopanel on the right hand side of the screen. The entire site is very graphic-orientated so we felt that all tech-specs had to be "within reach but still out of sight".

because "easy accesibility" was something that the company had always taken much pride in providing we felt that this had to be met on the site as well. we gave the visitor the choice of three different ways of getting in touch with a supplier/contractor/retailer. Wheather it'd be by checkboxes for the most common questions, by requestings individual specific info och by simply navigating your way through the flash map to find the representative situated closest to you.
