Carlos Vigil & Michael McNeive first met each other in the summer of 2007 while working as graphic designers in Baltimore. Through whimsical humor and nonsensical wit, they immediately developed a friendship and have been tackling design and illustration challenges together ever since.

Aesthetically, their collective work is reminiscent of the drawings an 8-year-old boy would labor over on the front of his text book wrapped in a paper-bag-cover, carefully constructed by his mother. Loss of loved ones, the first audible curse word, radical band names, toys that mark boyhood, and the first glimpse of boobs all signify the exploration of imagination and reality that define "growing up."

Produced for the one-night-show show entitled LETTER, these drawings will be on display at Gallery 2219 in Baltimore on June 5th. Excited by the collaborative process, Carlos and Mike are planning on adding to this series of drawings, so look out for fresh work in the near future!

Always love to see a graphic designer who isn't afraid of drawing! I enjoy the Van Halen head, though I hate real-life Van Halen to a fault. :)
