Wireless enabled energy measuring.

Wireless enabled energy measuring.

eMetric is a power meter in the form of a power strip or plug, which measures energy use of a user. Energy use may be viewed on a lightweight application. This device is intended for the work-place so the user may see how they're doing in relation to their co-workers.

What would this application look like as a desktop widget? an iPhone application? Some visual iterations on what this experience might look and feel like on these platforms.

Other possible screens for eMetric. How else might energy consumption be visualized? One thing is for certain you must have time and energy consumption charted. What are the other filters that should be used? I sued time, outlet and percentage. For percentage I decided to provide over the course of time; daily, weekly, monthly and so on.

I did a few quick iterations on the logo. I ended up using a sprout with wireless bars. I moved away from the light bulb aesthetic as I felt it was clunky. The overlap of the wireless bars and the leaves made it feel more dynamic. I ended up keeping the threads from the light bulb to ground the logo more solidly. The iteration without the threads on the right feels unbalanced.
