/dance/songs/ is a touring project conceived and choreographed by Ame Henderson, with music by Eric Craven. It is a modern dance piece in the form of a rock show. The three performers are Chad Demski, Claudia Fancello, and Matija Ferlin.

Scenography for this show included set design: for the performers, a casual area offstage and a white floor in an open area - and just as important, a 3/4 surround of benches and risers for the audience to sit around the stage, close to the action, in an open arrangement.

The Lighting design is a series of riffs on rock and roll lighting, some programmed and some live, to follow the open nature of the work: the performers are running each piece of the show as a set of moments, in which the individual moves they make is left to them, but the piece as a whole has a series of predetermined intentions. Within that, it also has to follow, fairly carefully, the contours of the musical composition.

The Video was designed by Daniel Arce - projections had to be a dominant element as part of the space when present, and when absent, not missed. We were not interested in big white screens sitting there like squares of colour waiting to be used. The camera viewpoint was always intimate - bringing us moments of people observing each other.
