Katowice new city centre
Project made for 'new city centre for katowice' architecture competition

Main project subject was creating a new city centre of Katowice in Śródmieście and Bogucice districts. A huge design area, neighbouring Bogucice housing area, Silesian Museum, University, main roads generate a great opportunities but also many problems. Our project based on a Richard Florida's principle 3xt: Technology - Talent - Tolerance where a source of growth is "creative class". The main project idea was creating perfect conditions to live for "creative class": business incubator, tech-park, related areas (culture, living, office, recreation). Next projcet idea was creationg direct connection from housing in Bogucice to new city centre - "street level culture" (pubs, restaurants, cafe, happenings, street shows), but in form like a traditional silesian development.

Maserati centre

Maserati centre is situated by highway A4 in Gliwice. Building hold inside many functions: museum and exhibition area, car showroom, used and historic car showroom, authorized car service, cafe, viewing terrace, parking garage. Whole compose from two parts: 1- authorized car service and viewing terrace, 2- the rest of functions. Centre has 3 floors: 1- car showroom, service, 2- used and historic car showroom, 3- museum and exhibition area, cafe, viewing terrace. Together with functional zoning follow construction variety. First part: reinforced concrete construction, the second: steel framework construction.

Publishing house with printing house
2007
Projected printing house is located in Katowice by DTŚ high-speed route. Lagre functional program hold: regional printing house (workshop), job-press, publishing house (weekly magazine editorial office, press publisher) and exhibition spaces. Main project idea was close all functions in one, solid form but with visible function zoning from outside. Facade form gives unusual lighting effects from inside by day and from outside at night.

Multifunctional gallery
Projected "Multimedia Gallery" is located in Zabrze's city centre between railway station and Warsaw Square. This kind of location induce to create open public functions: services, commercial, culture, offices. Projected Gallery's functional program hold: ground floor - open multimedia zone, exhibition space; first floor - computer graphics zone, video shows, virtual gallery; second floor - reading room; thirt floor - concert hall, cafe; fourth floor - office zone, individual studios, fifth floor - apartments. For sake that projected building is vis a vis city centre and railway station whole northern facade are transparent and should
work like a "big window". Thanks to this operation building functioning is great visible from outside and also we have great view from inside.

Art school

Projected artistic school building is located in Gliwice. Projected ground is located on suburbs so most neighbouring fields are green. Main project idea was reference to sourrounding area and create specific, characteristic for school, favourable integration climate. School form is very simple, separated on diffrent parts, witch every one hold diffrent function (music, arts, general, dministration, extra program). Large extra program (concert hall, recording studio, exhibition space, library with reading room) sholud attract attention also outside poelpe.

"Jukebox" Music Centre" is located in Sosnowiec City centre. Building is a part of strict dense development. Clean and simple but also radical form should work as a contrast, opposition to neighbouring buildings. Clean and smooth facade have to prevent to expand strret mess of informations. Centre can hold simultaneously sth about 700 people. Also building is a landmark thanks to his untypical form.
Within the framework of the functions we have: CDs shop, HiFi shop, shop with instruments, Dolby Surround rooms, recording studio, 3x music club, disco club, mini concert hall.
