Wood and Rubber is my current pet project.
To put it simply, I love making custom ping pong (or Table Tennis, if you prefer) paddes. In 2006, I made one that was selected to go into the ITTF Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland. That was the second paddle I made, and it pretty much shocked the hell out of me. So I started making them for sale this year, and the response has been, again, shocking. They're $150 each, including rubber, and I make them to specification, working with the buyer to find what they need.
It's fun. I love it. Web site coming soon.

This is my most recent creation, with a somewhat-illegal core structure and a canary-wood handle with cherry dowels. It's en route to a fella in Manhattan.

This is the paddle that started it all, so to speak. Santos mahogany core, maple face, rosewood handle. Way, way too heavy to play with. But beautiful, in my eyes at least.
