So, I have a fascination with sugar - and how it might be applied to art. Enclosed are some early experiments...

Using a regular stretched canvas, large colored sugar crystals, and an array of different glues (along with a glass of wine), I started...

I realized early on that some glues eroded the sugar crystals while others held up. I also realized that sugar - like oil - can be used to create varying textures.

The final result was pretty interesting - especially with the "blends" of colors that I incorporated. However, I was wary of what the ants would think. So, I applied a resin spray as an overlay.
