WE KNOW RAP / self-initiated

These days, our self-initiated project - self-confidently entitled WE KNOW RAP - is celebrating its second anniversary. The core of the site consists of a multi-authored weblog, focussing on rap music. In addition we provide a (at least to us) comprehensive rap album database which allows readers to rate releases, sort them, etc. Site design and implementation in cooperation with Moritz Guth.

I think the design from a functional point of view is legend. Dynamic in its simplicity. Like Erik said, you could've added a bit more personality to it, especially considering the subject. Overall an amazing eye for form and composition.

wow this is nice. a bit generic but great execution. i started thinking and i realize this is the kind of design i trust. just like the carhart page its honest because its modern in the right way. perhaps it gets old fast i dont know but its precise and right in this moment.
