This work is started with sketch I did. As you can see the idea was so clear and strong that the sketch process was just like a print from my mind :D
Then, after the scan, I traced it in Illustrator (by hand...mouse really, not live trace as you can see, 'cause I wanted it really clean). Down here you can see the outline of the final work, with the tattoo and the shadows/highlights on the skin.
Next step are the colors of the body, no tattoo at the moment (you are not born with tattoos I think ;) )
Now the main elements of the tattoo: a koi and some flowers
And then, as a real tattoo, the final step is the background.
