My most recent works are based on photographs taken in my urban environment: walls, sidewalks and street details. My interest goes to the altered or “damaged” parts of these walls and sidewalks, the print left by time, the natural elements or by human beings: holes, stripes, cracks, graffiti, stains, details that at first glance may not seem appealing to the eye. The photographs are the raw material for my pieces. I try to isolate only the altered parts, then I use these images to create new artworks. In a certain way I try to do aesthetic artworks with “anaesthetic things”.
